She's currently focused on delivering non-clinical and non-medical postpartum wellness support and postpartum coaching to mothers and their families.
Dr Lau previously practiced medicine in Australia, looking after the elderly in geriatric medicine. Then she left her career to move to the USA with her husband who was an active-duty Service Member in the US Military.
Dr Lau published her award-winning book 'Postpartum 30' to help mothers and their families adapt the Chinese Confinement postpartum practice to modern and Western living.
She also hosts The Postpartum Wellness Show on YouTube and all podcast platforms.

She's also a lecturer at Singapore Traditional Chinese Medicine College. Practitioner Shana was previously a surgical nurse with 12 years of clinical experience.

Once you've purchase the program, Practitioner Shana Shang will assess you accordingly and deliver a specific plan.
Dr Kristal Lau's Postpartum 30 Method principles for Confinement planning can also be adapted to your needs and will align with Practitioner Shana Shang's plan.
Herbal formulations can range from USD/EURO 20 to 60++ per formulation depending on what herbs you need and the delivery service fee. This is why we don't package the herbal price into our program.
We don't want you to end up paying for a lot more if the herbs you need aren't pricey!

Yes! Not every health professional or provider understands the nuances of the Confinement practice. And those who do may not have the time or resources to deliver a 30-day Confinement care program to you.
So, let us help you experience a Confinement month that you desire. And feel free to share your Confinement plan and e-YueZi program with your doctors, midwives, or health visitors if you wish!
Absolutely. Our programs are also designed to help your main Confinement support person gain confidence to help you during these 30-days postpartum. You can bring ONE person along to the virtual consultations without paying extra.
Mainly English - the digital materials will be delivered in English.
However, Dr Kristal Lau can speak in Malay and casual conversational Cantonese if required. But translating the English materials into another language requires an additional fee.
TCM practitioner Shana Shang is fluent in Mandarin and English.
If live translations or material translations are required for another language other than the ones mentioned above, additional fees may apply.
Only if you don't have a spouse, partner, family member, or friend who will be helping you through the month. This is because Dr Kristal Lau promotes the importance of having your loved one being your primary Confinement support person where possible.
If your Confinement nanny, doula, pui yuet, or yue sao is your primary Confinement carer, then yes, they can attend the sessions with you to learn how to specifically carry out the Confinement plan that is tailored to your needs.
For postpartum care providers who are interested in joining our team, you'll first have to become a certified Postpartum 30 Practitioner.
If you're a TCM practitioner, you'll first need to be trained by practitioner Shana Shang because our program follows her proprietary TCM Confinement method.
